Hike the Grand Canyon, paddle an Adirondack pond…or just recall a hammock’s summer shade. Eight of us spent 9 gorgeous days in Gif-sur-Yvette, 30 minutes southwest of Paris. We stayed in a part of the beautiful former country estate of Wallace Simpson and Edward VIII (after his abdication). We spent part of our time painting, sketching, and pastelling on-site, and part of our time in Paris at museums, at, exhibitions, and just strolling around.
One of the highlights was attending the special Velasquez exhibition at the Grand Palais. The other was enjoying everyone's wonderful company. We hope to go back soon!
