(Take a look in the cabinet by the rear entrance for a display on how I created this alla prima landscape, "Cascadilla House.")

I was also invited to speak on my art career at the Library's Candlelight Dinner annual meeting of the library association, and chose to highlight the influence of my maternal grandmother, Florence Dennis, on the development of my work.

    *Decorum-Too Show* Dec 4, 2015 - Jan 29, 2016

I'm excited to be able to invite you to the first showing of my art work!

At Decorum-Too in the DeWitt Mall in downtown Ithaca from December 4 through January 29, five of my pieces will be on display as part of the joint show for artists who joined Terry Plater's workshop in France last June.

Eight of us spent 9 gorgeous days in Gif-sur-Yvette, 30 minutes southwest of Paris. We stayed in a part of the beautiful former country estate of Wallace Simpson and Edward VIII (after his abdication). We spent part of our time painting, sketching, and pastelling on-site, and part of our time in Paris at museums, at, exhibitions, and just strolling around.

One of the highlights was attending the special Velasquez exhibition at the Grand Palais. The other was enjoying everyone's wonderful company. We hope to go back soon!
